Perhaps others noticed a Casting Call for Witches at WitchVox over the weekend, looking for dynamic Wiccan/ Witch individuals for a docu-series in development for a network. Wanting to check this out a bit, I phoned the number given this morning, and spoke to the gentleman (a very nice and professional man), who explained that the network in question had approached this particular production company with interest in developing this project, intended to put a “positive spin” on Wicca by showing Wiccans and Witches both in their lives and in practice. Although the production company is based in New York (actually, in my neighborhood, as we share the same area code), they are looking for folks across the country- Salem and California specifically mentioned. In the not-for-nothing, I called a couple of mates this morning who are kind of looking for something to do these days, and suggested that they might check this out: could be something interesting and worthwhile.

  1. This is indeed intriguing. Thank you very much for sharing this. I found out aout through a group I started o facebook called, http://www.facebook.com/groups/allpaganfriends/ I will definitely be following up on this opportunity in the near future. Bright blessings!

  2. The issue with Salem is that a few of the prominent witches are signed with a production company and kind of locked into contract with them. Since these are also the people that employ most of the witches around here, all their employees are restricted by the same contract. There has been a reality show in the works here for years, but nothing has ever come of it. Pretty surprising if you ask me.
